Building Permit Fees

Value of improvements

The applicant for a permit shall provide an estimated permit value at time of application. Permit valuations shall include total replacement value of work, including materials and labor, for which the permit is being applied, such as structural, electrical, gas, mechanical, plumbing equipment, interior finish, related site work, architectural and design fees, marketing costs, overhead, and profit, excluding only land value. Building Permit Fee includes permit processing, building plan review and inspections excluding re-inspections and Zoning review.

BUILDING PERMIT FEE SCHEDULE

The following four fees are cumulative for all projects regarding the building permit.

  1. Standard Fee – for cost valuation of projects up $2,750                                                   $250.00
  2. Additional Fee – for cost valuation of projects $2,750 – $2,500,000                                 2.7%
  3. Additional Fee – for cost valuation of project over $2,500,000                                          2.0%
  4. Minimum Permit Fee                                                                                                          $250.00
  5. Sub-Permit Fee                                                                                                                  $75.00

Due to circumstances as set forth in Section 152.45(D)                                                           $75.00

ADDITIONAL FEES ENFORCEMENT

Failure or refusal by the owner or the owner’s contractor to obtain proper Building Permit(s) and/or Architectural Commission approval prior to the commencement of construction activities will result in a fee equal to four (4) times the required ARCOM fee and/or building permit fee.
